Paris court convicts pharma firm Servier of manslaughter after diabetes drug was prescribed as diet pill

Servier was fined hundreds of millions of euros on Monday for its role in one of France’s biggest modern health scandals. The court found the company guilty of manslaughter and other charges for selling a diabetes drug blamed for hundreds of deaths.
