UK coronavirus variant now ‘most common lineage’ in US, Walensky says

The B.1.1.7 coronavirus variant which was first discovered in the UK late last year is now the “most common lineage circulating in the U.S.,” the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said Wednesday.
